 1 ACOM II Lab

 

This lab is used for the practicals of Digital Design and Linear Integrated Circuits. Components available in this lab are Digital Circuit IC’s, op-amp, etc. Major equipment’s in the lab include Experimental Kits, CRO, Function Generator and Power Supply.

 

2 DD Lab

 

This lab is mainly used for the practicals of Software simulation based subjects such as Computer Network, Circuit Simulation, Scilab etc. This Lab contains computer systems installed with different software’s.

 

3 Computational Lab

This lab is mainly used for practical on Microprocessor kit.
This lab is equipped with

4 Microprocessor Lab

 

This Lab is mainly used for practicals of power Electronics experiments such as Controlled Rectifiers, Firing Circuits, etc.

5 Power Lab

This lab caters to the needs of hardware and software related co-design issues of third and final year students. This lab is equipped with 89c51RD2 microcontroller trainer kits, Digital Storage Oscilloscope PC based logic Analyzer, Universal Programmer and In-circuit Emulator.

 

6 Embedded System Lab

This lab is equipped with Computer systems installed with different software such as Scilab, Orcad 10.5, PCB making software, Pspice simulation etc.

7 Software Lab

This lab contains FPGA boards of ATLYS and ANVYL. This lab is equipped Computer set installed with different software’s such Scilab, Keil, Xillink etc.

 

8 Research Lab

This lab caters to basic Electronics practicals namely Electronics Devices & Circuit, Digital System & Electronic Circuit Design. Major equipments in the lab include Experimental Kits, CRO, Function Generator & Power Supply.

 

9 Basic Electronics Lab

 

This Lab is mainly used for practicals of Analog Communication subject such as AM, FM etc. This lab is equipped with trainer kits of AM, FM, DSB, SSB, Sampling, Pulse Modulation etc.

10 Basic Communication Lab

This lab is mainly used for practicals of Digital system design and VLSI subjects. This lab is equipped with computer set installed Xilinx software and Xilinx Boards.

 

11 VLSI

This lab is equipped with Computer sets installed with simulating software’s such as Scilab, Orcad 10.5, PCB making software, Pspice simulation etc.

 

13 Simulation Lab

This lab is used for the practicals of "Real Time Embedded System Design", "Mobile Application", "Embedded OS and device driver" and "Deep Learning".

EESA/COMSA REPORT (2021-22)

"Electronics Engineering Students Association"

The activities of EESA/COMSA are conducted under IETE (The Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers) students’ chapter. The various activities conducted during the year 2021-22 are:

Events:

1. Tech-symposium 2k22

A national level technical event “Tech-Symposium 2k22” was arranged on 19th March 2022. Technical events “Arduino Hackathon” was arranged by Electronics Department.

2.Synergy 2k21

The paper presentation competition “Synergy 2k21” was arranged on 13th March 2021. The competition was conducted in two groups namely Novice and Expert. The event received huge response. The main motive of the competition was to provide a platform for students to showcase their ideas

3. Teachers Day Celebration

Third year students along with ESSA committee celebrated Teachers Day on 4th September 2021 in online mode. Third year students expressed their gratitude for teacher’s trough speech and poems. Online quiz was arranged for the teachers by the students

4.   Technova

The state level event Technova was organized by the Electronics and ETC Department on 18th September 2021 in online mode. The activity provided platform for the students to explore their knowledge and interpersonal skills. The event received a huge response of the students from various colleges

 

Workshops Arranged

         Two days’ workshop on “Arduino & Programming” was arranged for second year ETC students by Third year ETRX and ETC students on 11-12 March 2022.  Main motive was to explore the students the basic architecture, programming and interfacing of various sensors to Arduino board.  Total 110 students participated in workshop

 

2. Three days’ workshop on “Raspberry PI programming” was conducted on 7th to 9th February 2022 for third year electronics and ETC students

 

ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING STUDENT ASSOCIATION (EESA)

The department has started Electronics Engineering Students Association (EESA) in September 2002. The aim of EESA is to provide platform to bring out the inner potential of students and to blossom it in a right path.EESA has been organising various activities for students to express and enrich their skills through various activities like Aptitude test, Group discussion, C & C++ contests, Technical tests and Panel discussion.

After undergoing a total rejuvenation, the EESA started functioning under a committee with student members from second and third year electronics students with a vision to create a name synonymous to excellence, innovation, honour and outstanding quality and service.

IETE Student Chapter

Electronics Departmentt has inaugurated IETE student chapter at the hands of Mr Rameshndra Bhorania & Mr Gajanan jadhav of Misubishi Electric Pune. Dr P V Kadole guided students to plan various activities under IETE student chapter.

Electronics Engineering Department organized a Webinar Series from 06th Nov. 2020 to 10th Nov. 2020 on “Recent Trends in Electronics Industry" for the Third year Electronics Engineering students. These webinars were delivered by five eminent international personalities from Electronics Industries of various domains.

The Electronics Department organizes a ‘Mini-Project competition/Exhibition’ every year. The event receives an overwhelming participation from Second to Final year students. The department invites students from various Diploma and Junior colleges to visit the Project Exhibition.

The rounds conducted in the event are Aptitude test, Group discussion, Surprise round (act on theme), Personal interview. This activity provided platform for the students to explore their knowledge and interpersonal skills.

Teachers’ day

5th September 2018 was celebrated as teachers’ day by Communication Students Association of E & TC department. Prof. (Dr.) S. A. Patil delivered a motivational speech for the students. This was followed by felicitation of all the faculty members by the students.

 

 

Freshers’ Welcome

Freshers’ welcome party was celebrated on 9th September 2018. This Function was started with a slide-show of COMSA activities in past. This event was made memorable by the events like music, puzzles, and special performance by freshers.

 

 

Advanced Ardiuno Programming and Interfacing workshop

Three days workshop on "Advanced Ardiuno Programming and Interfacing" for second year students was organized during 17th to 19th May 2018. The aim of workshop is to introduce the Arduino boards and programming concepts and make students familiar with interfacing advance modules with arduino.

 

 

FundaCOM Workshop

FundaCOM, a three days workshop was organized for third year B. Tech students during 28th June 2018 to 30th June 2018. This workshop was focused on basic concepts of communication engineering, role of electromagnetic waves in communication engineering process, evolution of communication engineering interfaces. Emphasis has been given to simulation and practical results. Around 83 students have participated during this workshop.

 

 

PROTEUS simulation and PCB layout design

One day workshop on “PROTEUS simulation and PCB layout design” on 1st September 2018 has been organized and conducted by third year B. Tech students for S. Y. B. Tech students. This workshop has given the awareness to the second year students about the different open source softwares available for simulation of electronics circuits and components along with hands on practice for simulating their miniproject themes using PROTEUS software. Around 70 students have participated during this workshop.

   

 

 Panel discussion and Campus Placed students Felicitation

Department has organized 'Panel Discussion on preparations and experience of the campus recruitment process' on 03/01/2019. In this program, students selected through Campus Drive in different companies were felicitated and discussed the preparations and their experience of the campus recruitment process with SY and TY class students.

                    Institute had organized National Level Technical Event, “Techsymposium 2K18” on 9thmarch 2018. In this event two technical competitions named “CIRCUITMANIA” and “ROBOTECH” were organized by Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department.The challenging analog and discrete circuitswere designed, simulated and tested by the students during Circuitmania event. Indigenously designed wireless robots were presented by the students from well-known institutes. During Robotech contest more than 100 participants from different Engineering Institute nationwide were participated in this megaevent.

               Institute had organized National Level Technical Event, “Techsymposium 2K17” on 17th Feb.. In this event two technical competitions named “Maker’s Fair (Project Competition)” and “Drishti (Poster competition)” were organized by Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department. ‘Smart city level transport system to reduce air pollution’ , ‘Digital solution system for the management of electronics wastes and evaluation of health hazards to humanities’, ‘Digital technology for decentralized water harvesting solutions for villages and urban areas’ were the themes for Poster Presentation Competition.Different innovative technical ideas in the form of hardware setup as a part of project were presented by the participants in Project Competition. More than 100 students from different Engineering Institute nationwide were participated in this megaevent.
