As a part of curriculum, all students of MBA are required to complete their Summer Internship Projects by undergoing 50 days of Industrial training at the end of the first year. Training and placement department provides all support to the students for selection of companies. The project has to be completed in either in Human Resource Management, Finance, Marketing, Production or Systems. The students after the completion of industrial training have to give a presentation on what they learnt during industrial training. 

The training programme has following components:

Orientation lecture: During orientation lecture students are taught the purpose of industrial training and methods to conducting study in the company.

Reporting: The students have to meet at least once in a month to its respective guide so as to complete project on time. Evaluation: Evaluation of training performance is done by conducting a power point presentation after the training which is examined by internal faculties.

Submission: Once the examiners confirm the feasibility of the project, the students need to submit their projects till November.

1. Students Training from FUEL

 

MBA Department organized 4 days of soft skill sessions for MBA first year students by FUEL, Pune from 17 th Aug 2022 to 20 th Aug 2022 in physical mode at MBA Seminar Hall.The Expert speaker was Ms. Komal Jain, corporate trainer, FUEL. This activity is part of MOU between DKTE’s TEI MBA department and FUEL (Friends Union for Energizing Lives), Pune.
The program inaugurated by Prof.P.S.Jadhav, Prog Coordinator, Prof.A.S.Ganpate, TPO-MBA, Prof.Mrs.V.S.Gurav on 17 th Aug 2022.
In this session, the trainer described the concept of Soft skill for MBA students and its importance in today’s competitive corporate world. She along with her colleague and our MBA pass out Ms.Tejal Magdum conducted four days’ workshop. The students, after completing their first year, are scheduled for SIP (Summer Internship Program) 2022-23 for 50 days.
The day wise activity conducted as follows,
Day 1- Importance of soft skill and content, Types of communication, Objections and fears handling, linkedin profile building and certifications by Linked-in Learning.
Day 2 – FUEL SIP requirements and interview techniques conducted by Ms.Komal Jain, Job profiles and facilities provided at FUEL by Ms.Tejal, Summer Project guidance , topic selection by Prof.A.S.Ganpate , TPO MBA.
Day 3 – Email writing, corporate communication grammar correction, resume building, Interview etiquette.
Day 4 – Presentation skills, , Personal grooming , use of MS Word and Excel workshop for MBAs, Summer Project report and corporate readiness requirement.
The program was ended in the presence of Dr.Ravindra Kanthe, HOD MBA and other faculty members of MBA department on 20 th Aug 2022.
The sessions were coordinated by MBA, TPO Prof. Amol S.Ganpate in association with Mr. Shyam Kulkarni, Project Coordinator FUEL, Pune.

2. Bajaj Finserv Training Program by DKTES’s TEI, Department of Management Studies
 
Department of Management Studies (MBA) organized the “CPBFI Training Program” for the Students of MBA – II which was conducted by Bajaj Finserv Limited.
This training was conducted under MoU with Bajaj Finserv Ltd. The training sessions were conducted from 15th Nov 2022 to 7th Dec.2022. The theme of the program was “CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME IN BANKING, FINANCE, AND INSURANCE.” The training sessions started with the Induction program which was conducted online followed by other offline sessions related to Retail Banking, an Overview of Insurance, Communication and workplace skills, and Managing Self- Swaroop. Dr. Amit Yalgi (Lead Trainer) conducted a training session on "Retail Banking", Mrs. Kavita Bhanage conducted training sessions on "Overview of Insurance" and Mr.Mandar Bhanage conducted training sessions on "Communication and Workplace Skills." The training also included an online session on "Managing Self- Swaroop."
Prof. (Dr.) Mrs. L. S. Admuthe, Director of DKTES's TEI, and Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Shirgave, Dean Academics of DKTES’s TEI, welcomed Bajaj Finserv trainers. The contents of every session were interactive and benefited a lot of our MBA second-year students as preparation for placement activity. The training program was coordinated by Prof. P. S. Industrial visit – MBA (2024)

The MBA Department organized industrial visit of second year MBA Students to KSB Ltd, Shirwal, TBK India Pvt. Ltd, Shirwal, Otter controls India Pvt. Ltd, Pune, Venus Safety Pvt. Ltd, Taloja, Crown Rubber Pvt. Ltd, Khandala, Garware Technical Fibres Ltd, Wai from 10th January to 12th January 2024.

Students were given knowledge on the concepts of management functional areas like operations, HR, finance and marketing. Students were made to understand the manufacturing of Auto components, Electrical, textiles, safety instruments, and sheet metal components. The job and entrepreneurship opportunities in these sectors were explored to the students. The students visited industries and their respective HR heads.

This visit was organized by Dr. Priyanka S. Patil. It was coordinated by Dr. V.S.Gurav, TPO, Prof. A. S. Ganapate, Prof. V. Y. Badave and Prof. H.S. Dyama under the guidance of Prof. P. S. Jadhav.

Industrial visit – MBA (2023)

On December 20, 2023, the MBA Department organized an enlightening industrial visit for the first-year MBA students to 'Shinde Food Products' in Wai and 'Hindoostan Spinning & Weaving Mills' in Tasavade MIDC Karad.

At 'Shinde Food Products,' students delved into the intricacies of manufacturing, accounting, packaging, and marketing of various food products. The visit provided invaluable insights into the real-world application of concepts learned in the classroom, offering a comprehensive understanding of the food production industry. Similarly, at 'Hindoostan Spinning & Weaving Mills,' students gained firsthand knowledge of the spinning and weaving process, textile manufacturing, and other vital departments. The visit facilitated a deep understanding of the operations and processes involved in the textile industry. This visit was arranged by Dr. Priyanka S. Patil & coordinated by Dr. Manisha P. Pawar, Mr. S. R. Patil and Mr. V. R. Patil under the guidance of I/C. Director Prof Dr. L. S. Admuthe & Prof. P.S. Jadhav.

Such industrial visits play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, providing students with a holistic perspective on industry dynamics.

Industrial visit – MBA (2023)

MBA Department organized Industrial visit of second Year MBA Students to True Elements Pune, Deeksha Export Pvt. Ltd Pune and Otter controls India Pvt. Ltd, Pune on 16th January 2023. Metalman Auto Private Limited, Aurangabad and Sheet Shapers Pvt. Ltd, Aurangabad on 17th January 2023.

Students were given knowledge on the concepts of manufacturing, Accounting, Packaging and Marketing of various food products along with practical information on AI, robotics in auto industries. Students were made to understand the manufacturing of Auto Components, Electrical, Food Processing Items and Sheet metal components. Students were confronting to manufacturing of Sheet Metal, Tubular Fabricated Assemblies SubAssemblies with In House Surface Treatment facilities such as Ni-Cr Plating, Cataphoresis Electrolysis Deposition (CED Painting), Epoxy Powder Coating & Phosphating etc.

1. MoU between DKTE MBA and ‘Business Standard Ltd, Pune'

 

Our institute's Department of Management Studies (MBA) signed a MoU with ‘Business Standard Ltd, Pune' on 14/02/2023. Business Standard is one of the largest Indian English-language daily edition newspapers. Founded in 1975, the newspaper extensively covers the Indian economy, infrastructure, international business and trade, stock and currency markets, corporate governance, and a range of other financial news, opinions and insights.

The objectives of the MoU are,

2. MoU between MBA Department of DKTE and FUEL
 
Department of Management Studies of DKTE and Friends Union for Energizing Lives (FUEL) signed MoU. The objectives of MoU are to give soft skills training to management students where students will be trained with all the skills required to become employable and also to provide paid internships for a minimum of one month to a maximum of 3 months. Also, students will be given opportunities to work in the fields of Marketing, Finance, HRM etc. FUEL shall help MBA Department in placement activities and shall try to place the students of MBA in various companies.
On this occasion, a Representative from FUEL Mrs. Neelambari Pradhan, Prof. P. S. Jadhav and other faculty members of the department were present.
