Strong Industry Institute Interaction:
Each department of institute has a strong industry institute interaction, which is established through signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) between institute and industry. This distinctive feature is utilized for various activities like the student internship, industry guest lecture sessions from industry persons, industrial training, sponsored projects and industrial visits. The MOUs are helping in sharing the technical, professional knowledge as well as practical experiences both for faculty and students. Industries sponsored state of art of laboratories is established through these MOUs in the form of donation of instruments and equipment to the institute in various departments. Industry sponsored laboratory set ups from companies like BOSCH, Mistubhishi electric, ARM university, Nvidea GPU, Intels IoT, Italian Textile Technology etc. have been established in the institute through which the students as well the nearby small scale industry personnel are also trained.
On periodic basis, institute organizes the expert guidance sessions from the industry persons on the recent and new emerging technologies. This helps to bridge the gap between the academia and the industry. Institute always encourages the sponsored projects from the industry. The nearby industries, public sector companies and banks also support the students by providing their problem statements for doing the cap stone projects. They also support the students with technical as well as non-technical contents and sometimes with the components needed for completion of the projects. Different programs participate in the project design contests floated by the different leading industries addressing different socio economical issues. Selected students in these design contests get even placements in the reputed companies. Some of the contests appreciation is received from industry by the students and faculty mentors get invitation to visit the company headquarters in the foreign countries sponsored by the companies themselves. Even, students national level technical activity, as well as mini project exhibitions are supported by the industries which are helping students to develop the design aspect of the students. For these events the industry personnel are invited as judges.
Institute also has Bosch-Rexroth’s center of competence with specific focus on inculcating skills in the areas of Programmable Logic Controllers, Industrial Automation and Industrial Electro-Hydraulics and Electro-Pneumatic. Students are accordingly trained to tackle industrial problems. Students are encouraged to do their project and research in Automation.
