DKTE is one of the preferred institute by the most of the textile, garment & fashion industries, for the recruitment of textile Diploma, Under-graduate and Post-graduate students. Training and Placement Department is actively involved in keeping liaison with industries, for arrangements of industrial training, summer internship and strives to provide job opportunities through campus interviews. Department provides information to clarify career goals, identifying path ways by conducting orientation lectures and counseling programmes.
For overall grooming of the students, Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) by external agencies is regularly conducted from fourth semester to seventh semester. CRT programme consists of Vocabulary Building, Listening Skills, Speaking Skill, Writing Skills, Resume Writing, Interview Techniques, Quantitative and Logical Aptitude, Mock P.I., Mock G.D.. On Line Test practices, etc.

INTERNSHIP / INDUSTRIAL TRAINING
Internship / Industrial training is a very important part of professional engineering education. All B.Tech. (TT/MMTT/TPE/TC/FT) students are required to undergo four weeks training at the end of each fifth and seventh Semester (during winter vacation). Total training period eight weeks
Training and Placement Department take initiative and interacts with industries and support all student to undergo internship in diverse spectrum of textile industries like Spinning / Weaving / Knitting / Machinery Manufacturing / Technical Textile / Garment Industries / Non-Woven / Yarn / Fabric Chem. Processing / Woven Processing / Knit Processing / Denim / Terry Towel / Garment Manufacturing / Marketing / POY / PSF / Texturising / R & D Institutes / Testing Laboratories / Garment Washing / Sewing Threads / Worsted industries. More than 700 students undergo internship every year during summer / winter training.
To get the maximum benefits from these rare opportunities, industrial training is very carefully planned. The training programme has following components.
1) Allottment of Training organizations
2) Orientation Lecture:
During Orientation Lecture students are taught techniques of learning what to learn, how to learn, etc.
3) Internship / Industrial Training Schedule:
B.Tech. (TT/MMTT/TPE/TC/FT) = 04 Weeks during Winter Vacation
4) Daily Diary:
Daily Diary prepared for student is unique feature of DKTE. Guideline points are given in this diary. Students undergoing training are required to maintain daily diary regularly in systematic manner.
5) Evaluation:
Evaluation of training performance is done by conducting viva-voce examination by inviting External Examiners having industrial experience.
INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP
Every year around 20 students get Internship opportunities in international companies like Texmaco P.T. Polysindo Eka Parkasa, Indonesia, Truetzschler, Mayer & Cie, PTMT Panther Italy, Savio Italy, Schoch Italy, Reggani Italy, Denim DE’11 Moritius, Standard Carpet, Dubai, Noize Jeans Limited, Bangladesh and in Foreign Universities like Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic & HOF University, Germany.
PRE-PLACEMENT OFFERS (PPO) (PLACEMENT BASED ON INTERNSHIP PERFORMANCE)
Companies interview and selected Third year students for Summer internship under the PPO Scheme. They provided projects and attractive stipend in the range of Rs. 5,000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/- for Internships. Based on their performance, the companies offer jobs before the commencement of the next year campus interviews. Every year moe than 50 students get internship offer under PPO Scheme.
