SKILL DEVELOPEMENT PROGRAMS ORGANIZED IN 2025-26

SkillDevelopment

These days, the majority of institutions have partnerships with both private and public sectors that frequently search for young talent and invite them to the campus to recruit students for their business. However, while being easy, placement is highly competitive, therefore it is crucial to be well-prepared. A competent engineer must be the ideal synthesis of knowledge from his field and practical life skills. Life skills significantly refine the behavior of professionals and engineers, preparing them for change in their professional work, job market strategies, and ultimately their approach to life. Training engineering students to push them into their careers is the most important task, an engineering college has to take. Our department assesses every student and directs them towards their goal by giving required and following training. In addition to helping engineering students develop their technical skills, practical training also helps them develop their soft skills. Additionally, by teaching students how to work together, these training programs help them develop their leadership skills. So, we adopt the following training for our students.
1) Technical Training Skills
2) Advanced Communication Skills
3) Soft Skills
4) Aptitude Training
5) Domain Specific Training
6) Preplacement Training

Following is the preplacement Training activity executed by the Training and Placement Department.

 Placement Process min

Campus placement or recruitment is a program conducted within a university or other educational institution to provide jobs to students who are about to graduate.

In this program, colleges partner with corporations that want to hire students.

There are two types of corporations that hire freshers. These are: -

  • Service-Based Companies
    • TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, etc.
  • Product Based Companies
    • Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Microsoft, etc.

Following is the process conducted by every company at the time of the Placement drive.

Placement Rounds: -

This includes: -

  • Resume Shortlisting
    • How to prepare the perfect resume?
  • Online Test
    • Quants Test
    • Game-Based Apti
    • Psychometric Test

Internships & Industrial Training (NEP Framework)

Overview

At DKTE Society’s Textile & Engineering Institute, Ichalkaranji (An Empowered Autonomous Institute), our curriculum is fully aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP). Under this modern educational framework, we have systematically integrated structured industrial exposure at every stage of a student's academic journey.
Managed by the Training & Placement Department, our phased training model bridges classroom theory with real-world industry execution. This continuous exposure ensures our graduates emerge as highly skilled, culturally adaptive, and Day-1 industry-ready professionals.

Phased Industrial Exposure under NEP
To build deep technical competence, our curriculum mandates a progressive learning pathway divided into periodic technical training and a final immersive internship:

20-Day Industrial Technical Training (Post-Semester Vacations): At the end of each semester, during the academic vacation, students undergo a mandatory 20-day intensive Industrial Technical Training. This recurring exposure allows students to observe diverse industrial ecosystems, understand evolving shop-floor operations, and map their theoretical learning to active engineering environments.
Full-Semester Industry Internship (8th Semester): During the 8th Semester, students dedicate their entire final semester to a full-time, immersive Industry Internship. This block placement allows students to work as full-time interns on high-impact industrial projects, research frameworks, or corporate assignments nationally.

Key Highlights of DKTE's Internship Program
Dual Industrial Advantage: Situated in the vibrant industrial hub of Ichalkaranji, students gain unparalleled, comprehensive exposure across cutting-edge Engineering domains.
Corporate Readiness Training (CRT): Before entering their 8th-semester internships, students undergo robust training modules covering technical skill alignment, advanced aptitude, communication skills, and corporate etiquette.
Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs): Our students' stellar execution during their 8th-semester internships consistently converts into lucrative full-time job offers (PPOs) prior to graduation.

Our Global & Domestic Industry Partners
Our students secure premier internships at leading global machinery manufacturers, IT giants, including: Infosys, Bharat Forge, TCS, Capgemini, Hexaware, Johnson Controls, iBASIS etc.

Guidelines for Students
NEP Credits: Completion of both the 20-day post-semester technical training sessions and the 8th-semester internship is mandatory to earn the stipulated academic credits for graduation.
Registration & Code of Conduct: Eligible students must register with the Training & Placement Department. While on-site, students represent DKTE's legacy and must strictly adhere to the professional discipline, security protocols, and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) of the hosting organization.
Evaluation: Upon completion of each training phase and the final internship, students must submit an authorized Certificate along with a Technical Project Report to their respective academic departments for evaluation.
