PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES(PEO)

  • PEO1: Graduates of the program will excel in careers related to manufacturing, quality assurance, product design and development, and technical sales and marketing within the apparel manufacturing industry.
  • PEO2: Graduates of the program will demonstrate the ability to engage in lifelong learning and adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.
  • PEO3: Graduates of the program will possess the essential skills and knowledge to initiate and successfully manage entrepreneurial ventures.

 

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)

  • Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
    Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Overview of  Programme

  • The Fashion Technology program belongs to one of the top autonomous engineering colleges in Maharashtra.
  • Looking at the need of apparel and fashion industry, the institute took an initiative and started Fashion technology program in 2006 with intake of 30.
  • The program offered is recognized as the best B. Tech. program in Fashion technology colleges in Maharashtra
  • This program is NBA accredited. Technology in the apparel industry has been constantly changing and will keep on changing in the future also.
  • The B.Tech (Fashion technology) programme prepares skilled students to be qualified for diverse work profiles available in the apparel-manufacturing and fashion sector.
  • The programme curriculum aims to introduce different essential streams including apparel manufacturing technology, quality management, merchandising, marketing, designing, retailing etc.
  • The programme introduces students to the fundamentals of production and management. Students also get knowledge about fibers, yarns, fabrics, trims and processing of textile and garments.
  • Student gets hands on experience of designing, pattern making, production planning, merchandising, work study and quality control which provide essential operational knowledge relating to future work profiles.
  • The Laboratories and workshops are constantly upgraded to have latest technological equipment and machineries to develop confidence in the graduates, to adapt the constantly changing technology.
  • 100% placement record has been achieved since inception of the program. As a result of this, the program is known for offering good placement in engineering colleges in Maharashtra.
  • Two months in-plant training will provide opportunities for students to acquire necessary skills to become competent professionals.
  • The relevant curriculum, exposure to the industrial practice, interaction with experienced faculty and experts from industry and academia provide necessary skills to the students and make them competent to adapt to the constantly changing technology
