May 2020 | Composites were manufactured with nonwoven reinforcement. nonwovens were manufactured from glass, polyester, polypropylene fibres by needle punched technology. The resins used for composite manufacturing were polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy. These composites offer good load bearing capacity and other physical characteristics. |

August 2022 | In study, hybrid needle punched nonwovens were produced using polyester and polypropylene. The relationship between material factors and filtration efficiency was developed as a polynomial equation. Additionally, the life of the filter was calculated using a novel technique (change in porosity), which was found to be equivalent to the traditional drop in pressure technique. A hybrid nowoven air intake filter that was created offers comparable performance to foam filer used in motorcycles. |
