PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES(PEO)

The graduates of Computer Science and Engineering program within 3-4 years of their graduation will:

  • Be successful in professions, needing computing and Information Technology and/or become a successful entrepreneur.
  • Exhibit effective personality, good communication and team building skills.
  • Adapt to the latest trends in computer technology. 

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)

  • Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems
  • Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research- based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

Welcome to Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Department.

  • The department is established in the year 2021-2022 to cater the growing needs of software industries for Computer & IT professionals.
  • In nearly two decades, the department has grown as one of the major department among top autonomous Engineering Institutions in the state of Maharashtra.
  • The department has high qualified and experienced twenty two faculty members performing excellence in teaching and research in upcoming technologies like Machine Learning, high performance computing, AI, Augmented reality etc.
  • The department has strong collaborations with leading software industries and academic institutions from India and abroad and also recognized as an important national regional resource center for the development in computing and research.
  • The department emphasizes on effective teaching learning process including blended learning, project based learning using modern tools and technologies.
  • Currently the department offers Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) and Master of Technology (M. Tech.) UG and PG programs respectively in Computer Science and Engineering. The department is also recognized as a research center for Ph.D.in Computer Sc. & Engineering.

 

Our Computer Science and Engineering Department students had organized a workshop “Algorithms Illuminated Basic competitive Coding” that included demonstration of the basic concepts of competitive programming. Total 347 participants were participated for the workshop which was held on 6th August, 2020 under CodeChef Campus Chapter and IIC Cell of D.K.T.E Society’s Textile and Engineering Institute, Ichalkaranji. President of CodeChef Vidhi Baldi and her team of student representatives coordinated worked tirelessly to make this workshop successful. Mr. S. C. Sagare worked as a faculty advisor for this workshop.

ASSOCIATION OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING STUDENTS (ACSES) - 2019-2020

The department has started to form Computer science and engineering Students Association CISA from the year August 2003. Since 2009 the name changed as Association of Computer Science and Engineering Students (ACSES). Aim behind this association is to carry out different activities such as software contest, paper presentation, seminars, quiz competition, group discussion, aptitude & technical test preparation etc. All the activities are arranged & carry out by the student under the guidance of faculty member.

  • Spoken Tutorial Training program 2019

CSE Department organizes Spoken Tutorial Training program for CSE and IT Students. The training mode is outside Lab Hours. This training is offered by the Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay, funded by National Mission on Education through ICT, MHRD, Govt., of India. The training is followed by online test. Passed students gets e-Certificate from IITBombay. The faculty coordinator for these activities is Prof. V. G. Khetade.

  • Tech-symposium 2K20  

DKTE organized National Level Technical Event “Techsymposium 2k20” on 29th February 2020. Large number students from various colleges participated in Techsymposium 2k20. The events organized by CSE and IT Department were Code-O-Fiesta (Coding Competition), The All Rounder (Quiz competition), Patt-Se-Headshot (Gaming Competition) and Paper presentation in PG Symposium2k20 Research Paper Presentation.

TY IT students had organized ‘X CODE 2K20’ - a Institute Level Technical Competition under ITSA (Information Technology Students Association) on 15th Feb 2020. Total 150 students from various departments participated in this contest. The competition consisted following events.
